Just a quick post of the makeup i wore last week. I am wearing my mineral foundation almost all the time now as everything else just melts of in this humid weather. The nice thing about wearing mineral foundation when its so humid is that my skin usually looks to dry and powdery when i wear the mineral foundation but because its so humid it looks more natural and less powdery put still not oily.

Yay! It also just last much longer! I was out from three in the afternoon till three the next morning on friday and my foundation held the whole night i never touched up.

Today i am also doing a little but of and experiment and i will post about it later. I am wearing Urban decay primer potion on my one lid and ELF shimmering facial whip on the other as eye shadow primers. I want to see which one lasts as i love using the ELF.

Hit or Miss - Amy Adams

I am definitely a fan of pink eyeshadow but i am not sure its working for Amy Adams on the cover of Allure. Maybe its just the whole cover that disturbs me but she looks like she wants to jump out and bite you...

The pink eyeshadow shouldn't be going from her lid all the way to her brow either should it and cant they photoshop out her gums? *UPDATE - I am saying this because my gums stick out when i smile as well and it looks like she wants to bite someone, not because i have something against gums. lol you have to be soooooo careful what you say these days dont you...*

For some or other reason magazine covers love doing the fresh faced look but to me the only time that work is when its a golden glowing look.

What do you think of Amy's makeup? Hit or Miss?

Review: Aloe Vera Gel

I know aloe vera products are good for you but i have never really been a big fan of the creams and stuff.

I got sent loads of goodies by an Indian company called Lass cosmetics. All there products are 100% natural and vegan. One of the items i received was the aloe vera gel.

It has a weird gel consistency, not sticky sort of like harder water if that makes any sense! It says on the box that it can be used anywhere to soothe your skin but it also keeps toxins out of your skin if you put some on before applying makeup so its like a shield for your skin.

To me this is pretty cool because i always feel bad putting a whole lot of foundation on my face!
It feels really good when you put it on and it doesnt smell of anything. It also sort of feels like a primer and it does keep my foundation on my face better than when i dont use it.

This product gets top marks from me also especially because its so natural. At least i know there is one thing i am putting on my skin that wont harm it!

You can check out some other natural products at www.lasscosmetics.com

Check out my next post as i will be giving away a lass product!

French Lavender Toner

Ok so i have been super super busy the last few months! I have been researching mixing learning etc!

I am a very creative person and i love making goodies so my first project was to make a toner or fix spray similar to body shop vit e spray or MAC fix plus.

I had to come up with a concept for the spray first and because i was reading twilight at the time i thought this would be the perfect name for my range! Bella's Lullaby Lavender Toner.
Why is that perfect you might ask... Well in the books Edwards describes Bella to have a scent similar to Lavender (and freesia) In the Twilight movie Edward plays the piano and that piece gets dubbed Bella's lullaby. Lavender has calming relaxing qualities just like a lullaby would have... Lol, get the picture?

It contains french lavender essential oil to relax your mind and face, witch hazel which is a natural astringent but suitable for any skin type, glycerin to fix your make up with and distilled water to dilute. It can keep up to 3months (up to 6 if kept in the fridge)

I have been using this everyday and it works even better than the body shop vitamin e facial mist to set my makeup!
I also have a room and linen spray that i use on my pillow and it definitely makes me sleep better.

You can buy it here -Bella's Lullaby Toner

What is your favorite scent at the moment in bath, body and face products?

Review: Anatomicals Mud Mask

Yesterday morning i tried out the Anatomicals Farewell to the scarlet pimplehell deep cleansing mud mask. I had this idea in my head the mask was going to be a deep chocolate brown but it was actually green (my favorite color in face masks btw, i think i should have green skin!)

It was a really good time to use it for me as out weather has gone very hot and humid and my skin is definitely suffering! I woke up with my skin feeling super oily and i knew the mud mask was just what i needed!

It says it contains 100% pure clays with special minerals to absorb excess oil and deeply embedded dirt and make up (yes i am sure i have alot of deeply embedded makeup!)

I first soaked my face with a warm moist cloth and then patted it dry. I applied the mask (i was a bit iffy about the smell but usually the funnier the masks smell the better they work!) and went to go chill and tweet about it for about 12 minutes till the mask was dry.

When i washed it off my skin was really really soft which i love and it did feel a lot less oily afterwards and cleaner.

You can get two treatments out of these sachets so i cant wait to do this again. I would do it everyday but i think that might not be the best idea! lol

So what did i like about this Mud Mask?
  • I love the packaging! Sooooo cute!
  • Its enough for two uses
  • It didnt sting or irritate my skin
  • It really did absorb oil and deep clean.
What didnt i like?
  • The smell
Go check out other great Anatomicals goodies at their online shop - ANATOMICALS
The prices are also amazing!!

Zara Home

On Saturday we went to the shops to go look for a small pressie to send to my bf's mother in the UK.

We dont really have a lot of choice here so we decided to go look at Zara home and i was pleasantly surprised!

There is a lot of girly and quite funky stuff and although its a very small one over here they have a good selection.
I am definitely going to go back as i saw the cutest pink baskets there and some orange blossom incense that i want!

We got her a little face towel, a frame (we are going to add a few photos in with the package) and a white jasmine soap.
Its not a huge pressie but its heavy to post so we cant get loads more than that.

Have you ever shopped at Zara home?

Anatomicals Goodies!

I received some Anatomicals goodies in the post yesterday and i cant wait to try them!
I absolutely love the packaging. its no nonsense but oh so funny!

I got the mud mask (i will be using it tonight so expect a review in this week) and the lip and eye combo.

I have major bags under my eyes so i hope the no old bags allowed eye gel gets rid of them and the lip balm smells like strawberries so i am already in heaven with that!

If you want to check out all their other funny goodies you can go to www.anatomicals.net. They have loads of fun goodies and its extremely reasonably priced!

I cant wait to report back to you guys!
